From Schwarzenegger to Witherspoon and DeGeneres, Hollywood Remembers John McCain

0

Hollywood is remembering Sen. John McCain, who passed away Saturday after suffering from brain cancer. He was 81.

Condolences poured in quickly for the former Republican presidential candidate, two-time Gold Star recipient and political icon. On Friday his family announced that the senator, “with his usual strength of will,” had “chosen to discontinue medical treatment.”

Former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger wrote: “Each of us must strive for his dignity, his service, his commitment to county. He showed us the way. Ellen DeGeneres wrote: “He always stood up for what he believed was right.” And Dave Foley added: “Decency has lost a representative.”

Here are some statements from those mourning McCain’s death.
