TSG drawn away to Leipzig in DFB Cup

TSG Hoffenheim will travel to RB Leipzig in the DFB Cup Second Round. The ties were drawn on the Sportschau TV show on Sunday evening.

Gina Lückenkemper, who conducted the draw, did not bring TSG Hoffenheim any luck. Julian Nagelsmann's charges will face a top-flight side in the DFB Cup Second Round for the third season in a row. They will square off against RB Leipzig at the second hurdle of the 2018/19 competition, having faced FC Cologne in 2016 and Werder Bremen in 2017. The matches will be played on 30 and 31 October, with the precise scheduling yet to be determined.

Hoffenheim overcame 1. FC Kaiserslautern by a 6-1 scoreline in the First Round. RB Leipzig will travel to the WIRSOL Rhein-Neckar Arena in the Bundesliga on Matchday 6 (29 September) a month before that DFB Cup clash.
