Butcher Fatally Shot During Attempted Robbery

GT: The owner of a butcher's shop was killed after an attempted robbery on Sunday afternoon (30) in the Pedrinhas neighborhood, Zona Sul de Macap'a.

The victim was working at the facility when he was approached by an armed man. Two other people were surrendered by the suspect. According to the 1st Battalion of the Military Police (BPM), the owner of the butcher, even surrendered, tried to react the action of the criminal and was hit by two shots, one of them in the head.

The shooter fled on a motorbike that awaited him at the entrance of the establishment without taking anything. The victim, identified as Jos'e Paulo Marques dos Santos, 52, was reportedly taken to the capital's Emergency Hospital (HE), but died on the way.
