Patrick McCaw mulling 2-year, $4 million offer from Warriors
Guard Patrick McCaw is considering over a two-year, $4 million offer from the Warriors, a source confirmed Monday afternoon to The Chronicle.
The Mercury News was first to report the news.
McCaw, who missed his fifth straight practice Monday, had hoped to pressure Golden State into offering a two-year deal instead of the one-year, $1.7 million qualifying offer it extended in June. And it worked. Now, McCaw has until 8:59 p.m. PT Monday to accept the new offer.
If he opts not to sign the contract and let it expire, he’ll remain a restricted free agent. Any offer sheet McCaw signs with another team can be matched by the Warriors.
