Should Clubs That Cheat Be Referred For Police Charges
Looking through some of the all star teams, like Broncos, Roosters, Melbourne, Cronulla etc and the way it appears they have unlimited Salary Cap space, and I'm sick of it. I'm now wondering if those that are caught cheating, including persons and clubs, be refered to the Police for real charges to be laid for Fraud - Or Obtain Benefit By Deception offences. Take it a step further even the crap about Cronk this week not playing etc, coaches, Doctors, Players all openly telling lies to the public about the nature of the injury, to gain an advantage or benefit, that is clear Fraud and a Benefit by Deception offence under law, not just the NRL. The Roosters benefitted by deceiving everyone. Punters were perhaps deceived out of their hard earned money etc. With the amount of betting dollars now being pumped into the sport, the clubs and players putting their hands out to get their share, then why shouldn't they have to abide by societies laws as well. The horse racing industry have to and police charge trainers and jockeys etc with fraud and deception offences at times. I'm wondering if it's time to put them before a magistrate. See More
