LIfe under the DNR terror group - Neverending Curfews, arbitrary arrests

It's a tough life for the citizen living under the oppression of the DNR Terror Group. Since the declaration of the establishment of the pseudo-republic, there have been almost constant, indefinite, curfews. They have pulled out the soviet play book.

Every time a large crime is carried out, the "republic" is put into lock down. Thousands of armed militants descend on the streets (1000 in Donetsk city alone). Arbitrary ID checks and arrests are rampant. Public transit and private companies are locked up. Curfews starting as early as 8pm are imposed and those caught on the streets after curfew are arrested and interrogated under the suspicion of spies for the "Kyiv Government". Curfew arrests fall under national security and sabotage prevention, and those detained can be held without charges, in "interrogation" indefinitely. The DNR has been under strict curfew for over 1 month now. Previous strict curfews lasted 2-3 months with only weeks of "curfew relaxation" in between. (11pm - sometimes 1am). Bars have to close 1 hour before curfew to allow people time to get home.

The DNR was under a persistent 3 month curfew before the death Zaharchenko. In early July, an aggressive 8pm curfew was "relaxed a little" to 10pm.

Just this last weekend, by DNR's own reporting, almost 300 people were arrested for curfew violations as they are trying to identify "Ukrainian Sabotage and Reconnaissance groups" hiding in the occupied Ukrainian land.

"In order to identify sabotage and reconnaissance groups, as well as to prevent the crimes and offenses at night, the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the DNR from September 28 to 30 conducted an operational preventive operation "Night City". 298 citizens were detained for violation of curfews"

This follows the previous weekend where again, around 300 people were arrested and interrogated for curfew violations

More notably 500+ people were arrested during the strict curfew imposed over Easter weekend this year.

Curfew violation, at the minimum, carries a sentence of 15 days in jail - that's after the interrogations.
Night life in the DNR must suck a big one.

Pushilin previous indicated that he wanted to maintain the curfew until the elections.
