Daniel Jones Worked Hard To Come Back Early From Injury. So Did The Duke Medical Staff
When it comes to athletic longevity, people who are recruited by Duke should pay attention to this sort of thing.
We ran a column recently about how Daniel Jones had something remarkable by coming back from his clavicle injury and that’s still true.
He didn’t do it by himself though. He had tremendous and innovative care from Duke and, just three weeks after breaking his left clavicle, retuned to competition against Virginia Tech.
We don’t know if Duke coaches talk about this when they’re out on the trail or not, but they should: no one wants to think about an an athletic injury, but if you do have one, you really want to be at Duke, which has a substantial track record of bringing people back from injuries that normally would keep them out much, much longer. It’s a kind of insurance that you can’t get at many places in the world.
