Man Shot in the Head by Stray Bullet at Supermarket Check Out
GT: A made by a security camera shows the exact moment when Rafael Brito de Oliveira, 32, was hit by a stray bullet inside a supermarket. The driver worked for the owner of the establishment, but he was off duty and shopping. He was shot in the head and died instantly.
The death occurred on the afternoon of this Sunday (30) in the block 405 North, in Palmas. As reported by the Military Police, two prison guards were close to the scene and would have reacted to a robbery, exchanging shots with the criminals in the middle of the street.
The images show that the victim was next to the cashier at the supermarket. The shot passes over an employee who was sitting and hits Oliveira. The man falls on the floor next to his wife and son. The woman was also pregnant.
It is not yet known which weapon the shot that hit the victim broke. The Public Security Department (SSP) said it had already requested the ballistics examination, but did not inform the deadline that the award should be completed.
Still according to PM, the two agents were shot. One was injured in the back and the other at the height of the tail. Their health status has not yet been informed by the responsible departments. One of the agents is Isamar Silva Sousa.
In a statement, the State Department of Citizenship and Justice (Seciju) stated that Isamar Sousa was on leave and using a private weapon of his. But he has no details about the possession and bearing of the revolver.
On Monday (Sept. 1), Seciju said that it listened to the servers and will take the appropriate administrative measures, despite not informing which ones.
