Brown scientist wins $1.5 million innovator award for new approach to decoding brain signals

(Brown University) Carlos Vargas-Irwin, an assistant professor of neuroscience (research) at Brown University just received a five-year, $1.5 million New Innovator Award from the National Institutes of Health for his new approach to decoding neural activity in the motor cortex.
