[Football] Trentyn Jackson Named National Football Defensive Player of the Week

AVE MARIA, Fla.- Sophomore defensive back Trentyn Jackson was named the NAIA National Football Defensive Player of the Week on Monday night by the NAIA's National office in Kansas City. 

Jackson joins Marian (Ind.) running back Charles Salary and Taylor (Ind.) punt returner Tyler Gerig as National Player of the Week honorees. The Tampa native becomes the first Gyrene football player in program history to earn National Player of the Week honors, and is just the second Mid-South Conference player in any division to earn the award this season.
