Unreal 4 Designer/Engineer: Experius
UNREAL 4 DESIGNER AND SOFTWARE ENGINEER
Experius inc is working with The VOID to develop a new hyper reality experience.
We are seeking a self-motivated and versatile Designer/Software Engineer with 2 years+ professional experience in Unreal 4, who will facilitate implementation of interactive elements and builds. Someone who’s highly organized, have experience in games/real-time with C/C++ knowledge and who works well with smaller teams and enjoys carrying many hats. You will help build exciting hyper reality experiences and help with designing/programming the interactive solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work closely with the Lead Programmer and the Art/Design team to build/program the interactive systems and features within Unreal and VOID’s SDK. Create builds and maintain the source control with multiple off site teams. Provide time estimates and keep co-workers informed about progress of programming deliverables as well as non-programming prerequisites for feature implementation.
REQUIREMENTS:
Experience building/programming in UNREAL 4, PC, C++
Excellent C/C++ skills
Ability to adhere to the prevalent coding style and practices, including source control standards.
Strong problem solving ability
Knowledge with Perforce and other source control programs like GitHub.
Self-motivated with an ability to take initiative.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, in a team environmentGood instincts for game design, fun and innovative game play.
Must be flexible with schedule changes and shifting timetables.
Needs to be able to work independently and efficiently when required.
Ability to multitask several time intensive tasks at once.3d Math/Engine skills a plus.
GOOD TO HAVE:
Passion about VR, math and physics. Console/PC game experience, Designing and implementing Gameplay systems and features for commercially released games.
