Rome (dpa) - A "sober" person would never say that Italy risks a financial crisis like Greece, Italian Deputy Premier and Interior Minister Matteo Salvini said Tuesday in a riposte to European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker."I only speak to sober people who do not make out-of-this-world comparisons," Salvini told a La7 reporter who asked him to comment Juncker‘s remarks.On Monday, the European Commission chief said Italy‘s recently-announced plan to flout EU deficit rules in its budget could lead to a Greek-style debt crisis. "We have to do everything to avoid a new Greek or rather an Italian crisis this time," Juncker said. "One crisis was enough."
