MADISON, S.D. (Oct. 2, 2018)—The Dakota State University Trojan volleyball team (9-7 overall record, 3-2 North Star record) looks to extend their season-high four-match winning streak with three matches this week.
The Trojans conclude their four-match home stand Wednesday evening versus in-state rival Mount Marty (S.D.) (3-14 overall record). There will be a junior varsity match at 6 p.m., followed by a varsity contest at 7:30 p.m. Both matches will be held at DSU Fieldhouse.
DSU swings back in the North Star Athletic Association conference action this weekend with a pair of road matches. Dakota State visits Waldorf (Iowa) on Friday evening at 7 p.m. The match takes place at Hanson Fieldhouse (106 S 6th Street) on the campus of Waldorf in Forest City, Iowa.
On Saturday, the Trojans finish off their first-half portion of the North Star volleyball conference schedule at three-time NSAA defending champion and nationally-ranked No. 4 Viterbo (Wis.). First serve is set for 1 p.m. at R.W. Beggs Gymnasium (900 Viterbo Drive) in La Crosse, Wis.
Next Up: DSU begins their second-half portion of the NSAA conference schedule on Tuesday, Oct. 9 at No. 20-ranked Bellevue (Neb.) at 7 p.m. The Trojans returns home on Friday, Oct. 12 as they host Morningside (Iowa) in a non-conference match. Junior varsity is set for 5 p.m., followed by varsity at 6:30 p.m. at DSU Fieldhouse.
