Backend Engineer: Wombat Studio

Wombat Studio is building the world's first platform that empowers everyone, not just professional artists, to create amazing 3D animation with help of machine learning. Our first app, Magic Poser, helps artists/hobbyists create 3D scenes which can either be used for art pieces themselves or for art reference. Magic Poser has received great traction on both Android/iOS, accumulating 2 million+ downloads worldwide and 4.7 stars on App Store. We are looking for highly competent backend engineers who are excited about reinventing 3D animation. You will be working with an exceptionally talented team with experiences at top companies and universities such as Google, Uber, Blizzard, Stanford, MIT and Yale. 

WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH

Work with frontend team to design and implement our REST API

Implement database structures that are scalable and efficient to support our community and asset store featuresArchitect and implement data and analytics solutions to improve content discovery of our community, and help the product team gain insights into app stats and user behaviorIntegrate with liveops tools to manage and increase engagement within communityManage testing and deployment of our servers

TALENTS YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Proficiency in relational database and data modeling

Proficiency in web API design (REST or RPC)

Proficiency in at least one backend language

Familiarity with web server frameworks (Dropwizard, Spring) is a plusExperience in following area a plus: cloud technologies (AWS, GCP or Azure), DevOps experience (linux, bash, CI, CD), content distribution (CDN, video streaming), user analytics and big data tools, recommendation systems for content discoveryHOW TO APPLY
