David Ospina diagnosed with head trauma and to remain in hospital for up to 48 hours after collapsing
ARSENAL ace David Ospina has been diagnosed with head trauma after collapsing on the pitch in a Serie A game.
The goalkeeper, on loan at Napoli, is reportedly conscious but will stay under observation for up to 48 hours.
Ospina was rushed to hospital after fainting on the pitch minutes before half-time in Napoli’s clash against Udinese.
The 30-year-old Colombian already had a massive bandage on his head as he had suffered an injury after a collision with Ignacio Pussetto earlier during the game.
According to Football Italia, a CT scan revealed Ospina did not suffer a brain injury.
Although, the 30-year-old Colombian will remain under observation for up to two days.

Ospina looked unconscious as Napoli’s medical team rushed to offer him a treatment – but it was later reported he regained consciousness in hospital.
His model wife Jesica is understood to be by his side.
The Colombian had conceded two goals before being stretched off, but Napoli scored twice in the second half to eventually beat Udinese 4-2.
The ex-Nice star joined the Serie A side on loan from Arsenal last summer after the Gunners had signed Bayer Leverkusen keeper Bernd Leno.
Ospina’s contract at the Emirates expires at the end of this season, but his future at the club remains uncertain with Arsenal reportedly looking to sign a new shot stopper.
He has played in 13 Serie A games this season and featured in all six Champions League game for Napoli.
The Italians were drawn against Arsenal in the Europa League quarter-finals and will travel to London on April 11.
