Metro will run slower at Mawaiya

The proposed Lucknow Metro trains coming from Charbagh and Durgapuri stations will now have to take a sharp turn at Mawaiya, which will lower the speed.This follows an objection by the Northern Railway (NR) to the alignment of the Metro route at Mawaiya, saying that it passed through land belonging to the Railways and it had elaborate plans for development of the area.
