Nesting birds move on, bridge repairs to get underway

MORENO VALLEY, Calif. (AP) — Repair work on a damaged bridge in Riverside County can finally get underway now that nesting birds have moved on. The Theodore Street bridge in Moreno Valley sustained damage to two girders in January and repairs were initially scheduled to begin in March. Then two nests of a bird species called Say's phoebe were discovered on bridge ledges, interrupting the California Department of Transportation's work plans.
