The document stated that the candidate for the Hajj should meet six mandatory requirements. NEW ORLEANS (AP) — The U.S. Coast Guard is getting ready for a ceremony in New Orleans to commission a new fast response cutter. After Friday's commissioning, the Cutter Jacob Poroo (pohr-ROO') will be home-ported on the Mississippi coast at Pascagoula. However, it will operate throughout the Coast Guard's vast 8th District. ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — For the first time ever, the Sunshine Skyway bridge will shut down to for a road race. Up to 7,000 racers are expected to tackle the span from 4-10 a.m. on March 4. The race , called the "Skyway 10k Saluting Military Families," was announced Wednesday by the Armed Forces Families Foundation. Only the northbound lanes will be closed. Refugees at the East Lorengau Transit Centre on Manus Island said a water tanker was brought in after they were left without water for eight hours on December 6. The group, communicating through a messaging app, said the water was cut because of a “mistake” by workers on the island. Video footage shows the men bathing at a water tanker, which was brought in by management, the group said. The Kurdish journalist and refugee Behrouz Boochani told news outlets the men at the center also had waited for hours to receive food on Tuesday and Wednesday.
