Brussels (dpa) - Britain and the European Commission are making progress on Brexit proposals and will continue to work "throughout the night," a spokesman for the EU executive said late Thursday.Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker spoke to Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar and then his British counterpart Theresa May, EU spokesman Margaritis Schinas wrote on Twitter."We are making progress but not yet fully there. MATTAWAN, Mich. (AP) — Crashes involving about three dozen vehicles closed part of Interstate 94 in southwestern Michigan for a few hours. WOOD-TV and the Kalamazoo Gazette report the pileup started about 9 a.m. Thursday near Mattawan in Van Buren County. Some motorists suffered minor injuries. Slippery road conditions from snowfall are believed to have contributed to the crashes. State police Lt. JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) — Several senior members of Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens' office have accounts with a secretive app that erases messages after they're read. The Kansas City Star reports that it determined the governor and some of his staff have Confide accounts connected to their personal cellphones. The app deletes messages and prevents recipients from saving, forwarding, printing or taking screenshots of messages. TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — New Jersey lawmakers want to give the state's horse racing tracks a piece of the action on internet gambling. The state Assembly on Thursday approved a bill that would authorize tracks to offer internet gambling on their premises if they reach a partnership agreement with an Atlantic City casino or an online affiliate of a casino.
