Thieves managed to break into St Lawrence parish church in Vittoriosa last night, but they got away with nothing other than some coins from collection boxes. The break-in followed the usual method of climbing on scaffolding, which was on the facade of a private property adjoining the church. Once on the roof, the thieves broke down a door and gained access to the church.
