GALLOWAY, N.J. (AP) — Stockton University is offering discounted rates for tuition and student housing. The Press of Atlantic City reports the university announced the change this week following a Board of Trustees meeting. Under the summer course initiative, undergraduate students taking at least one class at one of the university's satellite campuses will pay $3,728 for three classes. Das EU-Parlament hat Mittwoch in Straßburg mit großer Mehrheit den jüngsten Kompromiss zum Brexit gebilligt. In einer Resolution wird auch eine maximal dreijährige Übergangsfrist vorgeschlagen. 556 EU-Mandatare stimmten dafür, 62 dagegen. Formal entscheidet der EU-Gipfel Freitag dieser Woche über die Einleitung der zweiten Phase der Brexit-Verhandlungen.

Der EU-Chefverhandler für den Brexit Michel Barnier hat im Europaparlament von einer wichtigen Etappe bei den Verhandlungen mit Großbritannien über einen Austritt der Insel gesprochen. GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) — A man who pleaded guilty to setting a fire that killed 13 horses in western Michigan has been sentenced to a year in jail and three years at a mental health facility. Payton Mellema learned his punishment Tuesday. He lived near The Barn for Equine Learning in Kent County's Lowell Township, where the horses died in April.
