Your National Championship will be Georgia vs. Alabama

SB Nation: Toronto Raptors

The Dawgs and Tide will meet in SEC country to play for it all.

The Georgia Bulldogs were the first team to punch their tickets to the 2017 college football season’s national title game, beating Oklahoma in an absolute classic in the Rose Bowl semifinal on New Year’s Day. It’s their first-ever Playoff semifinal win.

They will face No. 4 Alabama, which blew out Clemson in the Sugar Bowl edition of their three-year rivalry. The Tide ... are not making their first title run. They pretty much always do this. Читать дальше...

Unwelcome return

Times of Malta

With reference to the letter titled ‘The PN’s destiny’ by Arthur Muscat (December 11) allow me to point out that, according to information I received, party officials and two deputy leaders of the Nationalist Party were free to decide whether they would remain in their position or not and were never forced to resign from their respective posts (after the June 3, general election). I would like to thank former party officials, former deputy leaders and the outgoing party leader for services rendered. Читать дальше...

"In addition to breaking my wrist, I somehow managed to injure my face as well," she wrote in a message to her fans. "I'll spare you the gruesome details, but when I came out of surgery the night of my fall, the doctor told Mike that he had put between 40 and 50 stitches in." (Mike Fisher is Underwood's husband.) She added that she is "not quite looking the same,"... Читать дальше...

Thunderbirds - Supernatural Beings of Power

Sonics Rising

The concept of supernatural beings of great power drove the imagination of Americans before Europeans ever arrived here. America remains fascinated with superpower beings, or superheroes and superheroines, stemming all the way back to Action Comics from the 1930s, and exploding today in the forms of blockbuster action flicks and the multivariate artifacts of their downstream marketing. But today we would like to highlight a creature so fantastic that it has captured the psyche of native cultures literally for centuries... Читать дальше...

Bus lane bravado

Times of Malta

Reacting to the article titled ‘No deterring bus lane bravado’ (December 27), the local cycling commuting group, BAG, pointed out that drivers who abuse and illegally use the priority vehicle lanes also put cyclists’ lives at risk. With few urban cycle lanes, the Bicycle Advocacy Group pointed out that these are often one of the few urban infrastructures that should make cycling easier. Often, the case is completely the opposite. Not only do people on bicycles have to cope with illegal drivers speeding past queues of stuck traffic... Читать дальше...

THE IRANIAN EXPLOSION OF TRUTH

Front Page Magazine

Originally published by the Jerusalem Post.

If the Iranian regime is unable to brutally stomp out the countrywide protests raging through the country, and if the protesters achieve their goal of bringing down the regime, they will go down in history as the saviors of millions of people not just in Iran but throughout the world.

Given the earth shattering potential of the protests it is extraordinary to see the liberal media in the US and Europe struggle to downplay their significance. Читать дальше...
