Klopp quashes renewed talk of Coutinho sale

World Soccer Talk: World Cup 2014

Burnley (United Kingdom) (AFP) – Jurgen Klopp insists Philippe Coutinho was genuinely injured for Liverpool’s 2-1 win at Burnley as he laughed off talk of the Brazil forward joining Barcelona. "Sight is Overrated."

Paper Blog

Well Happy New Years to all! I have a feeling that 2018 will be quite a memorable year, although 2017 will go down in American history as being very, very memorable so I don't know if 2018 will top 2017, but I'm sure it will surprise everyone. So not too long ago I finished watching Netflix's The Defenders season 1 (and before I watched that I saw Iron Fist season 1 but I didn't think it was worth mentioning considering how much I didn't like it). Aside from the fact that I am getting all comic-booked out... Читать дальше...

In 1992, for example, independent presidential candidate Ross Perot accused Mexico of paying “a dollar an hour for labor” and warned that NAFTA would... Читать дальше...

World Soccer Talk: World Cup 2014

London (AFP) – Arsenal and Chelsea have been reduced to also-ran status by Manchester City’s blistering pace in the title race, but there is still a lot to learn when the London rivals clash at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday. Here AFP Sport looks at the problem areas for Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger and Chelsea boss Antonio Conte... Читать дальше...

Why North Korea Is So Scared of America

The National Interest

Zachary Keck

Security, Asia

History gives us the key.

Most outside analysts are far more skeptical that the U.S. strategic bombing campaign had much impact on the course of the war. The political scientist Robert Pape argues that North Korea and China’s major concessions in 1951 were the result of the air campaign weakening their military forces’ ability to achieve their objectives (coercion by denial) rather than the strategic bombing (coercion by punishment). Many others... Читать дальше...
