Spanish brothers Ion and Gorka Izagirre will co-lead the team's GC aspirations with the latter to also make his debut for the WorldTour team. With the California Pacific Conference schedule hitting full stride this weekend, the Cal Pac schools wrapped up the non-conference portion of their schedules with some impressive results.  UC Merced is riding a five-game winning streak entering conference play capped by a pair of wins last weekend at the Peninsula Classic in Atherton, Calif.  Embry-Riddle had its win streak snapped with a pair of losses, but the Eagles rebounded with a road win over the weekend to enter conference action at 11-2. 1 Parents killed: A 16-year-old armed with an assault rifle fatally shot his parents, sister and a family friend in a gruesome burst of violence that took place just before the start of the new year, officials in New Jersey said Monday. The teen, who was not identified, is expected to be charged with four counts of murder, prosecutor Christopher Gramiccioni said. LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) — Texas Tech has fired women's basketball coach Candi Whitaker. The Lady Raiders are 6-7 on the season. They started out Big 12 play with a 41-point loss to Oklahoma and a 97-49 defeat to No. 6 Baylor on Sunday. Whitaker, who graduated from the school in 2002, was hired by Texas Tech in 2013. She had a 54-82 record as head coach, with her best season coming in 2014-15 when the Lady Raiders were 15-16.
