To the editor: Build jail closer to prison

Reading a about the new jail location debate over and over makes me ask why isn’t the jail built close to the prison? This is close to the courthouse using Greenbelt Parkway; cheap land. And what better rehabilitation than seeing where someone ends up doing unlawful activity? With a short safe route to haul prisoners to and from the courthouse, it seems a no-brainer.
