E-pharmacy deal values surge over 200% in first nine months of 2018

Mumbai, 2 OctoberThe pharmaceutical and online pharmacy space seems to heating up on private equity (PE) and venture capital (VC) deals. As of end-September, the e-pharmacy space, for example, has seen a 210 per cent jump in deal value, compared to full calendar year 2017. DoT awaits legal opinion on creation of ombudsman under Trai

The Department of Telecom has sought legal opinion on creation of an ombudsman under sector regulator Trai which aims to give impartial hearing to telecom subscribers on their complaints. "The DoT has sought legal opinion on some points in the framework for telecom sector ombudsman. Once the legal opinion is received, the framework will be modified, if required, and it will be shared with Trai," an official source said. Four drug peddlers arrested in HP

Four suspected drug peddlers were arrested in separate incidents and 1 kg of poppy husk, 24 grams of charas and 401 intoxicant capsules were seized from their possession, police said Tuesday. During checking at Gagwal village, the police arrested Dalip Kumar (34) and Munish Kumar (29) with 1 kg of poppy husk and 206 parvon spas plus capsules, said SP (Kangra) Santosh Patial.
