Microfin may need upto Rs 9,000 cr over 3 years to meet growth

The country's microfinance sector which rose by 25 per cent in the first quarter, may need Rs 6,000-9,000 crore over the next three years to meet it growth plans, says a report. According to a report by rating agency Icra, the growth prospects for the sector remain good and the industry is expected to grow at 20-22 per cent in the current financial year. Around 1,000 TN fishermen chased away by SL Navy, fishing nets

Nearly 1,000 Tamil Nadu fishermen were allegedly chased away by the Sri Lankan Navy for poaching fish off Katchatheevu and fishing nets of around 10 mechanised boats were snapped, a fishermen association leader said Tuesday. Pak court allows auctioning of former finance minister Dar's assets

An anti-corruption court in Pakistan on Tuesday directed authorities to auction the assets and seize the bank accounts of absconding former finance minister Ishaq Dar in a graft case filed against him in the Panama Papers scandal.
