Flooding strikes Yorkshire area leaving some roads totally submerged

Flooding has hit across northern England today (March 17), with areas of Yorkshire being especially affected as rivers are bursting their banks and roads being submerged. Footage of the torrents of water at Aysgrath Falls feeding into the river Ure near Upper Wensleydale, shows how the water has covered vast tracts of the countryside and vehicles have to make very wet crossings.
