200 to 300 terrorists active in J&K, Pakistan trying to push in more: DGP

Jammu and Kashmir Police chief Dilbagh Singh on Sunday said 200 to 300 terrorists are active in the state and Pakistan has intensified cross-border firing to push in as many of them as possible before the onset of winter. He also said a large number of terrorists had managed to sneak into the state from across the border recently.

In yet another case of wild animals venturing into human settlements, a leopard sneaked into the house of a villager on the outskirts of a jungle in the district and mauled a 10-year-old girl, sleeping with her parents, said police on Sunday. UP: College student suffers heart attack during run, dies

A 21-year-old undergraduate student died of a heart attack he suffered while running inside his university campus here on Sunday morning, police said. Nitin Bhati, a first year student of BPEd (Bachelor of Physical Education) at IIMT university, complained of sudden chest pain while running, Ganganagar Police Station Incharge Ravi Chandrawal said. He said Bhati's friends rushed him to a nearby hospital which referred him to another facility where he was declared dead. The body has been handed over to Bhati's family, the officer said. The Greater Noida authorities on Sunday attached as many as 76 properties of builders in Shahberi area for illegally constructing and selling properties.According to District Magistrate (DM) BN Singh, many rogue builders in Shahberi were earlier booked under Section 14 (1) of the Gangster Act."The district administration has attached 76 properties of three companies.
