Four of family killed, three injured as truck hits car in MP

Four members of a family were killed and three others injured after their car was hit by a truck at Ghunai Ghati on NH-7, about 40 kms from the district headquarters on Sunday, police said. Talking to PTI, Seoni's Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Kamlesh Kharpuse said the mishap occurred under Chhapara Police Station area in the morning when the driver of the truck, which was carrying potatoes, lost control over his vehicle, following which it rammed into the car. 2 killed in trainer aircraft crash in Telangana

Two trainee pilots including a woman were killed after their aircraft crashed in a field in Vikarabad district on Sunday, police said. The incident occurred in Bantwaram mandal of the district resulting in the death of the two pilots, they said. A resident of the village said it was raining heavily when the trainer aircraft crashed. The aircraft belongs to a private aviation training institute in the city, they added.

Man arrested for killing monkey in UP

A man has been arrested in Uttar Pradesh's Shamli district for allegedly killing a monkey with his licensed gun, police said on Sunday. They said Hafeez Ahmad allegedly shot dead the monkey in Abdan village under Jhinjhana police station limits on Saturday, following which local Bajrang Dal activists staged a protest. Later, Ahmad was arrested, the police said. A case has been registered against Ahmad and his licensed gun seized, they said.
