(Complexity Science Hub Vienna) In times of uncertainty, people not only need reliable information. Data must also be presented in a simple and understandable way. Researchers at the Complexity Science Hub Vienna (CSH) now developed a tool which uses the well-known traffic light system to visualize worldwide trends in coronavirus infection. The 'CSH Corona Traffic Light' shows countries in green, yellow or red based on the confirmed cases within the past two weeks.

Elderly people's response to COVID-19 not as expected

Survey results from 27 countries suggest that, despite their increased risk of severe illness due to COVID-19, elderly people are not more willing to isolate when asked to, and are not more compliant with several COVID-19 preventive measures. Center for BrainHealth advances understanding of brain connectivity in cannabis users

Center for BrainHealth® recently examined underlying brain networks in long-term cannabis users to identify patterns of brain connectivity when the users crave or have a desire to consume cannabis. While regional brain activation and static connectivity in response to cravings have been studied before, fluctuations in brain network connectivity had not yet been examined in cannabis users. The findings from this study will help support the development of better treatment strategies for cannabis dependence.
