IT leaders are already starting to reap the rewards promised by AI and machine learning -- and a recent survey reveals half are considering greater investment as we hit economic headwinds.

In order to create effective machine learning and deep learning models, you need copious amounts of data, a way to clean the data and perform feature engineering on it, and a way to train models on your data in a reasonable amount of time. Then you need a way to deploy your models, monitor them for drift over time, and retrain them as needed.

In object-oriented programming (OOP), so-called God objects are an anti-pattern because they violate a number of good design principles. God objects are objects of classes that know too much or do too much, and hence make your code tightly coupled and difficult to maintain. This article talks about this anti-pattern and how you can get rid of it.

It takes a certain amount of chutzpah — OK, mountains of it — to invent a new kind of database and assume it will take over the world.
