Munich’s utility Stadtwerke München wrote in an email to Bloomberg on Monday, “We reactivated oil burners in two heating plants that have previously been shut down.” The utility did not specify what type of oil is being used in the plants now. Oil prices plunged by 4% at the start of August as the market digested weak economic figures from China, the world’s largest crude oil importer.
