ETUC: Bulgaria among 16 EU Countries where the Minimum Wage is Not Enough for Electricity Bills

Bulgaria is among the 16 EU countries where the monthly electricity bill exceeds the monthly minimum wage. According to data from the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC), energy costs for the month of July in Bulgaria averaged BGN 836 (EUR 428) with a minimum wage of BGN 710 (EUR 363). The ETUC estimates that a person receiving a minimum wage in Bulgaria, has to work 36 days to be able to pay their energy bill....

United Airlines threatens to drop JFK service if U.S. does not approve more flights

  WASHINGTON (Reuters) -United Airlines said on Tuesday it plans to end service in October to New York's John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) if the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) does not grant the air carrier additional flights. 

  United Chief Executive Scott Kirby wrote to Acting FAA Administrator Billy Nolen last week to urge him to increase capacity at JFK, according to an email Tuesday by the airline to employees that was seen by Reuters.
