The Pragati Dashboard measures the performance of police stations in aspects like solving of grievances of the people, pendency of cases, detection and solving of cases, and rate of conviction filing of chargesheets.

The bodies of two Russian nationals who died in a hotel in Rayagada, India, were cremated instead of being taken back to their country. Police in Coimbatore have arrested seven people for ransacking a bar on Thadagam Road and attacking two bartenders. The suspects have been identified as Raguraman M Dineshkumar, K Nagendran, PN Pudur S Dhanasekaran, A Naveen, Kurichi S Ramesh Kumar, R Praveen, and K Sermanraj. Complainant K Sermanraj 28 of Palaiyur in Pudukkottai district alleged that he had a confrontation with the suspects, two of whom he recognized as regulars at the bar, for fighting with other customers on Sunday.
