More than half of British adults have “no confidence at all” that Rishi Sunak can solve the immigration crisis in the Channel, according to a new poll.
The analysis is a fresh blow for the prime minister who vowed to stop small boats carrying asylum seekers across the Channel in his big new year speech only yesterday.
