Experts to train vigilance in tackling crypto cases

The Odisha vigilance directorate has hired financial experts to train investigators of the anticorruption wing and the Odisha police to probe cases related to cryptocurrency. The move came in the wake of some recent instances where corrupt public servants invested their black money in digital currency and cyber fraudsters cheated gullible investors by promising them hefty returns through crypto trading. ED quizzes BJD MLA in mining scam case

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) interrogated Bhadrakishore Pradhan, MLA from Champua in Keonjhar district, for his alleged link with the mining scam in Odisha's mineralrich Keonjhar district. Sources say a number of high value transactions were made between Pradhan and a former MLA of Champua in Keonjhar. The ED had in 2018-19 registered a money laundering case against the former Champua MLA. While the ED officials refused to comment, Pradhan denied his link with any scam.

Roundabout to ease traffic woes at Tamil Nadu's Lawley Road Junction
