United Spirits Q3 net declines 27% to Rs 214 cr, income dips to Rs 6,631 cr

Diageo-controlled liquor maker United Spirits on Tuesday said its consolidated net profit declined by 27 per cent to Rs 214 crore in the third quarter ended December 31, 2022. The company had reported a net profit of Rs 295 crore in the October-December quarter of last fiscal. Air India modifies in-flight alcohol service policy amid recent incidents

Amid recent incidents of unruly passenger behaviour, Air India has modified its in-flight alcohol service policy wherein cabin crew have been told to tactfully further serving of alcohol if needed. The Tata group-owned airline has been slapped with penalties in the last few days by DGCA for the unruly behaviour of passengers onboard two international flights for reporting lapses. South Indian Bank posts Rs 102-cr net profit in October-December quarter

South Indian Bank on Tuesday reported a net profit of Rs 102.75 crore, restricted by money set aside as ageing provisions for security receipts as per a regulatory mandate. The Thrissur-headquartered lender had reported a loss of Rs 50.31 crore in the year-ago period, while its profit for the preceding September quarter had stood at Rs 223 crore.
