For those unaware, Israel’s new government seeks to redefine the powers of the Israeli Supreme Court allowing, among other things, a simple majority of the Knesset (Israeli Parliament) to overturn its rulings. For some, this is needed to correct a court that has progressed too far to the left and is out of touch with the needs of the people. For others, it is the beginning of the end of Israel’s democracy, giving too much power to its legislative body. I pray that the truth is somewhere in the middle.

A key member of the coaching squad for Great Britain’s Olympic gold medal-winning women’s hockey team at Rio 2016 has died.
LAHORE - Lahore Qalandars, under the directives of its CEO Atif Rana, has conducted one-day open trials of Karachi Qalandars hockey team, which were attended by more than 1000 young players on the first day at KHA Sports Complex. The registration started at 9 am and continued till the last minute of the trials. Due to enthusiasm and large number of players, Atif Rana extended one day for the final trials.
