India has 127 global patents for 6G technology now: Ashwini Vaishnaw

India now has over 127 global patents for 6G technology, Union Minister for Communications Ashwini Vaishnaw said on Wednesday. He reiterated Prime Minister Narendra Modi's remark that India has the power of trust and scale, which is leading to the demand for indigenous telecom gears overseas. "I must also share with you that 127 patents have been obtained by Indians," Vaishnaw said on the sidelines of the 17th India Telecom event.

The rankings provide independent comparative analysis on the performance of more than 15,700 individual programmes taken by students at  1,594 universities in 93 locations across the world,  across 54 academic disciplines and five broad faculty areas. The thirteen edition of the  QS World University Rankings by Subject has ranked 66 Indian universities, cumulatively achieving 355 entries, a 18.7 per cent increase compared to last year (299).

Albermarle Corp. ALB said Wednesday it’s planning to invest at least $1.3 billion in a lithium hydroxide facility to be located in Chester County, South Carolina. The Charlotte, N.C.-based company, which makes products for mobility, energy, connectivity and health, said it expects the facility to create more than 300 jobs with an average annual wage of about $93,000.
