BHU halts installation of plaques on buildings to glorify individuals

Now onwards no plaques will be installed on any buildings, laboratories or facilities of the Banaras Hindu University for time being, says a notification issued by the BHU registrar Prof Arun Kumar Singh on March 17. The development comes in wake of the reported practice of installing plaques for glorifying individuals.

Rain, hailstorm damage Tent City; two electrocuted in Varanasi
