It is a long road ahead before India can switch completely to renewable energy and/or electric mobility. As the country moves towards cleaner sources of energy, natural gas, becomes a critical part of India's transition strategy – the bridge between the current fossil fuel led energy mix to the zero-emission fuel mix in the future. Piped natural gas (PNG) and compressed natural gas (CNG) can be used to reduce the country's emissions significantly, without compromising on the energy needs.



Sunnier days help solar projects improve their performance in FY23: Report

Longer sunnier days have ensured that the performance of solar power farms improved to 75 per cent in the current fiscal from 59 per cent in the year-ago period, according to a report. Rating agency Crisil has prepared the report based on the performance of 115 solar projects aggregating to 4.6 GW of power generation and those having an operational record of at least one full year. As per the report, 75 per cent of these projects reached P90 level of generation in the current financial year compared to only 59 per cent in the year-ago period. Читать дальше...

Water sport activities not to be privatised: Goa tourism minister

Water sport activities will not be privatised in Goa, state tourism minister Rohan Khaunte told the Assembly on Monday. Responding to a Zero Hour mention by Aam Aadmi Party MLA Venzy Veigas, he said some persons with vested interests were spreading rumours about such activities being privatised. Touts were cheating tourists by overcharging them for water sport activities and it was important to regulate the trade, he said.
