MG Motor India launches India’s cheapest EV

MG Motor India has launched its most affordable electric vehicle, the Comet EV, with prices starting at INR798,000 ($10,670) ex-showroom. The vehicle offers a range of 230 km and will be produced in India with more than 50% localisation. The company expects 30% of its annual sales to come from the electric car market, with the Comet EV contributing to its growth. While the carmaker plans to bring multiple variants to the market, it will not extend the EV's range. The company is targeting the sale of 10,000 units of its ZS EV this year.

Ksolves India, a smallcap software development firm with a market cap of INR750cr, has declared a final dividend of INR8 ($0.11) per share for FY22-23, subject to shareholder approval. The development company reported revenues of INR23cr in 1QFY22-23 compared with INR14cr YoY, and a net profit of INR7.3cr. Elsewhere, mid-cap IT firm Persistent Systems has announced a final dividend of INR12 per share, along with a special dividend of INR10 per share for FY23, after achieving $1bn in annual revenue.
