Disheartened Go First pilots rush to Air India's jobs drive

Tata's Air India airline conducted walk-in interviews for pilots and cabin crew in Delhi and Mumbai yesterday. The group plans to hire more than 4,200 cabin crew and 900 pilots this year as part of its major revamp, which also includes orders for 470 jets. Recent news that Go First (formerly known as Go Airlines) filed for bankruptcy in a country where post-pandemic air travel demand has boomed came as a shock to many in the airline. However, it has led to increased competition for staff and planes as the industry recovers.

Congress demands court-monitored probe into Jantar Mantar scuffle, sacking of WFI chief

The Indian Congress Party has demanded a court-monitored investigation into the scuffle between the Delhi Police and wrestling protestors at Jantar Mantar. The party called for the removal of Wrestling Federation of India Chief, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, who is facing serious sexual harassment charges, and for Congress leader, Rahul Gandhi, to show his support for the wrestlers by stopping his poll campaign.

EFCC apprehends 34 suspected ‘Yahoo boys’ in Delta community
