In memory of Berthold Wipfler

TSG 1899 Hoffenheim (en)

Berthold Wipfler was not only a tax advisor, auditor, lecturer and member of numerous supervisory bodies - he was above all a close friend of our family for many decades.

Born in Heidelberg, he had a great affection for the region and its people. He not only supported me time and again with advice and a great deal of commitment, but we also shared a passion for sport.

TSG 1899 Hoffenheim (en)

Alexander Rosen immediately objects to this figurative wording, however. "We certainly won't be hiding Benni behind the computer and in offices. Читать дальше...

A revival can be a boon or a bane, but one can't predict whether the show can recreate the same magic with a new audience as it first did when staged decades ago. US court kicks away ladder of opportunity

BangkokPost.com

Fifteen years ago, I watched in rapt attention as a resplendent, yet surreal, scene unfolded: the election of the first-ever African-American US president, Barack Obama. In the past week, the Supreme Court of the United States, in a landmark 6-3 ruling, struck down what may have been one of the key factors in making that story possible: affirmative action in higher education.

BangkokPost.com

Health fads come and go, but drinking more water (and less beer and soda) is one of the few things that's unequivocally good for the human body. It should be as easy as putting a glass under the tap, but what kinds of potentially harmful chemicals lurk there? News that 3M is paying more than US$10 billion (351 billion baht) to clean "forever chemicals" from municipal drinking water isn't helping...
