Uddhav Thackeray, the leader of Shiv Sena (UBT), has said that the Election Commission (EC) does not have the power to change the name of a political party, but can only allocate electoral symbols. In February this year, the Election Commission allotted the name 'Shiv Sena' and its poll symbol 'bow and arrow' to the group led by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
