: U.S. stocks open higher after core CPI inflation saw smallest monthly rise since 2021
U.S. stocks opened higher Wednesday, with gains led by the technology-heavy Nasdaq Composite, after a fresh reading on inflation showed core prices eased in June. The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA was up 0.7% soon after the opening bell, while the S&P 500 SPX gained 0.9% and the Nasdaq Composite COMP climbed 1.2%, according to FactSet data, at last check.
