Samsung is now on its fifth generation of foldable smartphones, with the Galaxy Z Fold 5 being the culmination of the Fold series. But, on paper and in person, the Fold 5 feels basically unchanged despite its still-high price tag.

So far in the foldable market, Samsung has found the most success with its flip phone. The new Galaxy Z Flip 5 doubles down on the form factor with updated specs and hardware and, more importantly, a bigger cover display.

The Big Two measures of success in manufacturing are productivity and profitability. Most other metrics are tethered to these two in some way.

This refinement of the Z Fold4 is thinner and lighter, while sporting a brighter inner display and faster processor. Other specs are the same as last year's model, including a water-resistant body with Armor Aluminum and Gorilla Glass Victus 2, S Pen compatibility, a hidden camera under the inner display, large outer touch screen, 12 GB RAM, triple rear cameras, UWB, and two-way wireless charging.

Samsung has announced its new lineup of smartwatches for this year, including a Galaxy Watch6 Classic with a "fan-favorite" rotating bezel, a model that was conspicuously missing from the Watch5 lineup. The Watch6 series brings a long list of upgrades over last year's models, including significantly thinner bezels that allow the displays to be 20% larger.
