Mumbai: Vihar and Tansa lakes overflow after heavy rains
Tansa and Vihar lakes, which are key sources of potable water for Mumbai, have started overflowing due to heavy rains. Out of the seven reservoirs that supply water to the city, three have overflowed, namely Vihar, Tansa, and Tulsi lakes. Mumbai receives 3,800 MLD water from seven reservoirs located in Mumbai, Thane, and Nashik districts.
