A major highlight of the second day of the Think20 (T20) Summit in Mysuru on Tuesday was a virtual address by Jaishankar, followed by a high-level interaction with him.

Khosrowshahi attributed surge pricing to inflation and increased costs of labour, but Forbes' report contradicted this, revealing that Uber's prices in the US had risen at four times the rate of inflation from 2018 to 2022. Uber announced a record-breaking Q2 performance, but surge pricing has also resulted in the company's stock falling nearly 6%.

India's edible oil imports hit a new record of 1.76 million metric tonnes in July, as refiners stockpiled ahead of upcoming festivals amid concerns over supplies from the Black Sea region. Higher imports could reduce sunflower oil stocks in other countries and also support benchmark futures for palm and soyoil. India's monthly average edible oil imports remain at 1.17 million tonnes for this year.
